In partnership with the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology, I have organized a panel discussion to empower aspiring young professionals to boldly seek career options following their own definitions of success. I will also be serving as a panelist, moderated by Dr. Joan Shellard, a research scientist at BCIT. Postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduate students are welcome. Opportunities for young researchers and students in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) – Do they exist?
Are you currently a student or researcher and wondering how to make the transition from school or academia to industry? Would you like to learn what opportunities/career paths exist and how to find them? Are you struggling defining your skill-set?
Get inspired by an interactive panel discussion of 4 women who have successfully made the transition from school to professional life. They will share their experiences of how they navigated through these difficulties and landed their current jobs.
